Palisade Partners with Hitachi East Japan Solutions
to Launch Japanese Marketing Efforts

Ithaca, NY - August 18, 2005. Palisade Corporation is pleased to announce a new partnership with Hitachi East Japan Solutions Ltd. to initiate an intensive marketing effort in Japan. Palisade is the global leader in add-in software tools for risk analysis, decision analysis, optimization, and statistics. Hitachi East Japan Solutions is a total systems and software engineering company that has been providing a wide variety of solutions to Japanese customers for the past twenty years.

Mikiko Sawada, Risk Management Consultant at Hitachi East Japan Solutions, will head up her company's efforts to open up new marketing channels for Palisade software in Japan. Noting how the two companies’ strengths complement each other, Sawada said, “The Palisade tools are the top of the line add-in analytics, and the opportunity to present them to the Japanese market is a wonderful one. We are confident that our marketing and sales operations are the ideal vehicles to maximize Palisade’s potential in Japan.”

First on the new partnership’s agenda is the launch of @RISK in Japanese. @RISK is Palisade’s flagship product and is used to simulate risk and decision processes. It is marketed globally in a number of different languages, and the Japanese version is the most recent addition to this international family. There has been high demand for a Japanese translation of @RISK, and now that it is available, it is expected to open many new doors in Japanese industry. To facilitate this expansion, Palisade and Hitachi will conduct a series of seminars to help both current and new @RISK users address the decision processes in their companies more proficiently.
