Palisade Taps Simulation Expert to Head Up
Asia-Pacific Operations

Sydney, NSW, Australia - July 1, 2005. Palisade Corporation, the global leader in software add-in tools for quantitative analysis, has appointed Mark Meurisse to head up its new Asia-Pacific office in Sydney. Palisade develops software for risk analysis, decision simulation, optimization, and statistics, and the company maintains an extensive schedule of training programs throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, as well as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Meurisse will oversee Palisade sales, marketing, and technical support for Asia-Pacific and will expand the company’s public regional training, customized onsite training, and consulting services program in the region.

Meurisse joined Palisade in 2003. His consulting experience and training seminars have included assignments in the US, Canada, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, and he has consulted on risk analysis projects for clients in the oil and gas, finance, pharmaceutical, agricultural, natural resources, telecommunications, and aerospace industries. The list of clients Mark has worked with include Shell, Westpac, BHP Billiton, Australian Taxation Office, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Thiess, Blue Cross Blue Shield, KPMG, Austin Energy, HP, Georgia Pacific, Telstra, Evans & Peck, AWAS, Futron, Tyco Healthcare, Mercer Oliver Wyman, Merial, John Deere, the US Air Force, Cornell University, and the US Coast Guard.

Before coming to Palisade, Meurisse had 10 years consulting, marketing, and research experience in bank credit, agriculture, commercial real estate, computer programming, and environmental engineering. His analytic, modeling, and research expertise include risk analysis, simulation, sensitivity, stress testing, causal flow analysis, market power, geographic information systems, and public policy. He holds a B.S. in economics from Oregon State University and an M.S. in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University and is the author or co-author of 9 publications.
